Why Do Daisies Come Back Every Year?

Posted on May 14, 2021

Do they come back every year? That’s a question that most people asking this question are probably already asking themselves. The truth is, the answer is no! Flowers do not come back each year like other plants or animals. If they did, then mankind would be very wise to plant lots more of them, because there wouldn’t be any grass, trees, or animals left on this planet.

Why do flowers change color? Color is actually a way of identifying certain species from other similar ones. One example is the yellow or pearl-colored tulips, which are actually Papaver paeoniflorum, a type of flower native to Portugal and Mediterranean areas. You may have heard of other varieties such as the scarlet sage, the burgundy and gold daffodil, or the blue lace droserose. All of these varieties come from different parts of the world and are known for their unique colors.

So how do daisies come back each year? When a flower starts to flower, it requires pollination or nectar flow in order to reproduce. It needs the assistance of another living being, such as a bird, insects, or even you, the flower garden owner. The flower releases pollen into the air when it blooms.

The daisy flower has small stamen and pistils, which contain volatile oil. When these oil glands produce pollen, the pollen travels down through the flower stamen and through the air to its destination, where it combines with other tiny seeds, which begin the flowering and creation of a daisy flower. As the flower grows, new stamen and pistils grow out of the older ones, until there is only one remaining flower bud and that is the daisy flower. Thus, daisies bloom once every year.

What makes daisies so special is their ability to add color to a plain flower bed. Unlike most flowers that need to be planted in very narrow areas, daisies can thrive in virtually any flowerbed. If you have a small yard or garden in the city, you can still enjoy a beautiful daisy flower garden. Just plant a few daisies together in a tight arrangement. Over time, they will sprout up and bloom just like the day they were planted.

There are two ways to keep daisies thriving year after year. One is to make sure that you give them plenty of room to grow. You should allow at least three feet of distance between plants if you want them to bloom successfully. The other thing you can do is water them often during the hot summer months. If you let your daisies sit in the sun without water for too long, you might find that the blooms have lost their vibrant color. Just don’t forget to water them right away when you see the first sign of wilting.

If you like to plant flowers that have a long blooming period, consider an indoor plant. Daisies are particularly suited to indoor plants because they do not require much maintenance. The best thing you can do is provide good lighting conditions for your daisy flower plants. Many people mistakenly think that daisies require a lot of watering, but in fact, you only need to water them once or twice a week, in the summer.

Now that you know what can make a daisy flower bloom, you might be wondering, “Why do daisies come back every year?” The truth is, daisies are just another kind of garden flowers. They don’t have their own distinct color or scent and will rarely, if ever, flower in the wild. You have probably noticed that there are a lot of garden plants that come up each year, including many of the fruits we eat. That is because all kinds of insects from birds to bees, butterflies and Road kill creatures eat many types of garden flowers, including daisies.
